Your official NCD is held in one central database. Check it there for free, then use the estimator to see what it saves you.
NCD records for every insurer and takaful operator are kept by ISM Insurance Services Malaysia and can be checked on its MyCarInfo site.
PlateX does not ask for or store your IC number. You enter it only on the MyCarInfo site.
The estimator assumes you renewed every year with no gap. Your official record on MyCarInfo is what insurers use.

What is NCD?
No Claim Discount is the discount on your motor insurance premium for each year you renew without making a claim. For private cars it starts at 25% after the first claim-free year and reaches a maximum of 55% after five years.
How do I check my NCD online?
Use the NCD enquiry on MyCarInfo, run by ISM Insurance Services Malaysia. Enter your vehicle registration number and the ID number of the registered owner, complete the security check and you will see your current and next NCD with their effective dates. It is free.
What happens to my NCD if I make a claim?
A claim for damage to your own car where you are at fault resets your NCD to 0% at the next renewal. Windscreen claims under a windscreen add-on, and claims where the other driver is at fault, normally do not affect it. Confirm with your insurer before claiming.
Does NCD follow the car or the owner?
The owner. NCD belongs to the policyholder and can be moved to another vehicle registered in the same name, but it can only be used on one vehicle at a time.
Does changing my number plate affect my NCD?
No. NCD is tied to you as the policyholder, not to the registration number. Ask your insurer to update the policy with the new number.
